Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 30: Can you see yourself playing Dark Souls next year?

I can still see myself playing it occasionally, but not too often. If Dark Souls 2 comes out at some point though then the answer is definitely a yes on that. Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls are both great games that I can see myself going back too over the years and they have tons of replay value, but when I play them I tend to binge, then need to take a break for a while. I also need some sort of goal in mind when playing. Last binge was when I was after the platinum trophy, now I’m just not sure what I want to go after next. Replaying Demon’s Souls is probably next before going back to Dark Souls though.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 29: Favorite emote?

Praise the sun
Gotta be Praise the sun here. Have to represent my sun bros here of course. There’s some other emotes I like a lot that I probably use more such as Proper bow and Wave, but this is my favorite one to use and I love that it’s the pose you come in when summoned to help as a sun bro. Also when waiting around for people to invade, this is one of my favorite emotes to spam so it’s like flapping your arms.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 28: Demon’s Souls or Dark Souls?

Demon’s Souls
It’s hard to say exactly why I like Demon’s Souls more because I really like a lot about both games, but I think I just overall had a better time playing it and liked some of the mechanics a bit more. Though I feel like the bosses were a bit more exploitable, they always seemed more challenging to me than in Dark Souls, and having half health most of the time definitely increased the challenge. I also loved having just two blacksmiths for all of your weapon needs. I also preferred the MP system rather than having a limited number of uses, though I see the problem with it as well. The multiplayer also worked really well and when the game was in its prime I had some of the best times online that I’ve ever had, especially in 4-1. I think I also am more of a fan of the areas in Demon’s Souls too, even if I hate the valley of defilement, somehow I love it at the exact same time. I also loved all of the NPC interaction and felt much more attached to the characters than I did in Dark Souls. In the end, both are fucking amazing games though and I’m happy to have played both.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 27: Your play style?

2 Fast 2 Furious
I RUN IN SWINGING AND KILL EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.
Nahh„ other than the above when I’m really annoyed and ready to die because it’s a terrible way to play, my play style really just adapts depending on where in the game I’m at and what type of enemies are around. I’m usually relatively cautious, going for backstabs if the situation see’s fit, or if they’re tough I start out with some ranged attacks. In PvP I take more of a supportive roll if I have someone else with me, but otherwise I dodge roll a lot, occasionally try to parry (and usually mess that shit up), and try to get a knockdown with my miracles.
I’m not really sure what else I could say defines my play style so I’ll just leave it at that I suppose.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 26: Do you have the Platinum or 100% trophy/achievement respectively?

FUCK YEAH I DO
This happens to be the reason I decided to finally do this 30 day challenge, in celebration of getting my platinum! As you can see I finished up getting my trophies at the Giant Blacksmith by collecting all unique weapons or whatever that trophy was. I believe this character was on NG++, not all the trophies were gotten on this character, though most of the more difficult ones.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 25: Kill patches or have him at camp?

Kill
I’ve never let Patches live on any of my playthroughs. I’m not entirely sure why, but I guess I’ve never had any use for what he sells so I just take the easy route of getting rid of him. I mean it isn’t like he doesn’t deserve to die anyways, he’s quite the ass. It was a different story in Demon’s Souls. I had more use for what he sold, but in Dark Souls I just had no reason to let him live, so some payback was nice.
Dark Souls 30 Day Chellenge - Day 24: Favourite spell, miracle, & pyromancy?
Chameleon, Emit force, and Great Combustion

I have almost no experience using spells, so I’m just going with Chameleon because it’s a fun spell to use and it’s one of the few I have used. I was a bit more torn on miracles because I love the lightning spear series and wrath of the gods of course, but Emit Force is one I’ve seen myself using a lot more often lately and it’s really fun to use. Knocking people back is always pretty fun, the bit of distance and damage is nice too. Then for pyromancy I only really use Great Combustion and Chaos Great Fireball and I love them both, but I love how fast Great Combustion comes out and the face that it has more uses as well.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 23: Two handed, or one handed with shield?

One-Handed with Shield
When on the offensive I actually do like Two-Handed more, but generally I’m way too scared to stick with that, or when I do go two-handed I switch back right after I finish a string of attacks. I just really like being able to bring a shield up at any point that I might need it. Though I will say that it depends on the weapon I’m using more than anything, like when I use Grant I always two-hand it because I don’t have enough strength to one-hand it. Also depending on the weapon I might prefer the one-handed or two-handed moveset and stick with it more because of that.
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 22: Parry or Backstep?

Parry
Alright, so I’m a bit confused on if they meant to say backstab for this question since backstep is technically a thing as well… But anyways, I guess I could say that I like parries more regardless, but I backstab way more since I’m terrible at timing my parries. Backstabs are way easier for me, but just get annoying when it comes to PvP. Parries are much more exciting and take more skill (which is why I can’t do them…hahaha).
Dark Souls 30 Day Challenge - Day 21: Blighttown or Valley of Defilement for best “WHAT THE GODDAMN FUCK VIDEO GAME DEVS?!”

Valley of Defilement
Though I’ve had my troubles with Blighttown, this one easily goes to Valley of Defilement. It’s difficult to navigate, has some of the worst enemies in the game (AHH FUCK THOSE GIANTS AND PLAGUE BABIES), yet still ends up being endearing to me somehow. Blighttown was just annoying, the valley gave me many a times that I wanted to throw my controller at the screen.
