Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 30 - Your Favorite Game of all Time.

Super Smash Bros. Melee (Gamecube)

I HONESTLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY FAVORITE GAME IS OR IF I EVEN HAVE ONE AT ALL. I CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO EVEN TRY TO COMPARE GAMES OF DIFFERENT GENRES AND SUCH BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST TOO DAMN DIFFERENT AND EACH ONE BRINGS SOMETHING GREAT INTO THE MIX. So SSBM is the result of me picking the first game I can think of that’d be on my favorite list that I have yet to use for this challenge.

This is basically my favorite party game of all time at the very least. Even though I’ve never owned it, I’ve probably spent more time playing this game with friends than a majority of my other games regardless of genre. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest games because not only is it incredibly fun, but it also can appeal to an extremely broad audience where most anyone would be happy to pick up a controller and play for a bit. I’m sure there’s more I could write about this, but I don’t wanna think any more right now.

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 29 - A Game You Thought You Wouldn’t Like, But Ended Up Loving.

Final Fantasy 12 (Playstation 2)

It took me quite a while, but I finally managed to think of one (and possibly the only one). Final Fantasy 12 was one of the few games that I’ve actually bought regardless of thinking that I would hate the game in its entirety. I had played the demo once before and thought it was horrible and despised the battle system. But upon seeing the collector’s edition case (Pictured above) the day it was released I gave in and purchased it against all better judgment. Figuring since I had purchased it I might as well give it a try, it was much better than I had imagined from that glimpse the demo gave me. It had an incredible amount of freedom and exploration in it and the battles were seamless and quite fun after working on the license board a bit. It ended up being a great addition to my game collection and I don’t regret it one bit now.

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 28 - Favorite Game Developer.

Arc System Works

Honestly I can’t really pick a favorite game developer because I don’t keep up with much on them. If they’re good I’m generally neutral towards them and don’t keep rack of them, and when they are bad they stick out to me. In this case I chose Arc because they’ve come out with many quality games that I’ve enjoyed and I’m really looking forward to Mayonaka Arena. That alone makes them stand out in my head at least now, because they haven’t really disappointed me and I have something awesome to look forward to. What more could you ask for.

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 27 - Most Epic Scene Ever.

Pokemon HG/SS (DS)

Arceus giving birth, definitely the most epic cutscene. Please go watch it now. Even seeing it I’m in disbelief, thinking to myself…did that really just happen?!

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 26 - Best Voice Acting.

Chaos Wars (Playstation 2)

For game with the best voice acting, I’m gonna go with Chaos Wars. The challenge says best, but not what kind of best. I’ve gotta say this is the best because it has one of the most enjoyable and laughable voice cast out there. Playing through it you just can’t help but laugh at how bad the voice actors are, its amazing. If you haven’t heard the voice acting in this game, please go look it up now.

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 25 - A Game You Plan on Playing.

Been planning on playing this game for a while now, SO I PLAN ON PLAYING IT AND OH GOD OUT OF TIME AHHHHHHHHHH

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 24 - Favorite Classic Game.

Kirby’s Dreamland 2 (Gameboy)

This game brings back a lot of memories for me. When I first got my gameboy pocket (My primary game system), this was the very first gameboy game that I got, and actually owned by myself rather than sharing with my brothers. I had played the first one, but this one quickly made Kirby one of my favorite characters and added so much to it. All the different powers you could get, actual world map type thing, and animal friends! This was also the very first game I’ve ever gotten 100% on. I was so proud of that when I was younger. There’s a few other games I was considering for this, but I mean come on…Kirby’s just so damn cute… Overall great game, just wish I knew what happened to my old copy of it. ;_;

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 23 - Game You Think Had the Best Graphics or Art Style.

Odin Sphere (Playstation 2)

In an age of 3D graphics, 2D art is what really stands out to me. Everything about this game is beautiful, and the setting its in really helps to make it shine. I really love how things move and flow in this game, to some extent reminding me of a pop-up book. The background in this game are also really beautifully done. I’ve gotta say, this has been one of my easiest choices so far for these challenges.

Video Game 30 Day Challenge Day 22 - A Game Sequel Which Disappointed You.

Xenosaga 2 (Playstation 2)

I think I’m going to have to go with Xenosaga 2 for this one. My other choice was Kingdom Hearts 2, but I managed to get through more of that game than I could this. Between Xenosaga 1 and 2 so much changed, and most of it was for the worse in my opinion. The main three things that come to mind with this are the battle system, character design, and voice actors. What they did to momo was just unforgiveable…when she spoke in battle it was like garbled nonsense and I just wanted to cry. Other characters weren’t much better off like pedophile chaos. Though I’d still like to play it for the story, from my bit of experience playing it, I just don’t know if I could make it through the gameplay in this game. It’s really sad after how much I liked the first game.
